2. After it, open the run box by pressing “Windows + R". Now, in the run box you need to type “regedit,” and hit “Enter” key. This will open up the Windows registry Window.
3. Now, use the left pane and navigate to the “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Classes\\Local Settings\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\AppModel\\Repository\\Families\\Microsoft.Windows.Photos_8wekyb3d8bbwe” directory.
4. In this area you can see different registry entries each of which has a version number, for example, “/Microsoft.Windows.Photos_15.1201.10020.0_” or similar.
Under this folder, if you found 8 Microsoft Windows Photos App entries then it is sure that the outdated registry entries are the issue. And we need to the delete all the outdated keys.
5. Choose the old entry -> right-click on it and click on the “Properties”
6. Now, choose “Security” and open “Permissions” tab.
7. Click on the “Advanced” in “Select User or Group” window. Choose “Find Now,” pick your username, and click “OK.” After it right-click on the outdated entry and select “Delete.”
Repeat the same steps with all the outdated Windows Photos Apps’ entries.
